The new MODDS.WATCH

I wanted MODDS.WATCH to feel clean, simple, and a bit cool, all at once. That took a few tries, but it finally clicks: the watch is in front and everything else steps back.

Every tool gets the Japan Hi-Fi look.

The redesign goes well beyond the landing page. All watch tools now wear what I call the Japan Hi-Fi style: brushed-metal panels, chunky buttons, sliders with real tick marks.

Same controls, just a lot nicer to touch.

Preview your polarizer mod before you open the case.

The Casio AE-1200 customizer just had its biggest update. The old positive/negative toggle is gone. In its place: four LCD states, so you can try the half-inverted split look without touching a film.

Then comes the part I’m most excited about: the Color Polarizer, with two controls and any color you like.

Symbols color

Repaints every face symbol at once and follows whichever LCD state you picked.

Display color

Tints the LCD layer you’re looking at. Both panels have a reset button in the corner for a fresh start.

Watches now cast shadows on their stands.

Realism without lag is the rule here, so every scene is tuned to run even on a phone. One shadow was still missing: the one a watch throws onto its stand. Reddit user u/These-Box5853 pointed it out, and now it’s in every watch scene.

Artwork can now sit above the glass.

Reddit user u/Due-Negotiation-4655 has a real Moonraker 007 F-91W, where the printed art sits in front of the LCD. On the site, images could only go behind it. The question: could they go in front, too?

A few experiments later, yes. Use a PNG with a transparent cut-out for the screen and it just works. Pick Below the screen or Above the screen, then compare.
